Helen Fox
Specialist AssessorWith over 15 years experience working in primary schools, I am absolutely passionate about teaching and supporting children. I was inspired to train as a specialist dyslexia teacher by some of the wonderful children that I worked with in my early days of being a class teacher. I trained at the Helen Arkell Dyslexia charity as a specialist dyslexia teacher and worked as a 1:1 specialist teacher and SENCo for a number of years before continuing my training to be a specialist assessor. I currently continue to work as a specialist teacher and SENCo alongside offering private dyslexia assessments, tutoring and advice.

Specialist AssessorI am an experienced primary school teacher who has worked in both independent and state schools across London and Surrey. Following a short career break to raise my young children, I specialised in supporting children with dyslexia and other additional needs as a specialist dyslexia teacher, before completing the National SENDCo Award and the Helen Arkell Level 7 Diploma in Teaching and Assessing Learners with Dyslexia. For over 15 years, I have worked as a SENDCo, supporting children, families and colleagues, collaborating with a range of professionals to ensure effective provision, and I am passionate about building children's confidence, self-esteem and engagement in learning.
